ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applications are open only to current member organizations of the Center for Nonprofit Management operating in the state of Texas.
     
  • Winners of an Awards of Excellence in the past three years (2006, 2007 and 2008) are not eligible to apply.

APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, August 5, 2009

Finalists will be announced in October and winners will be announced live at A Night of Light, Thursday, November 12, 2009.

Completed applications must be returned to the Center by August 5, 2009.

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION

A program or project nominated for an award in one of the three organizational categories must do the following:

  • Further the mission of the organization
  • Make a difference in the lives of people served by the agency
  • Demonstrate significant breakthroughs in effectiveness and efficiency
  • Produce specific, measurable and/or observable results that are likely to continue over time
  • Be capable of replication or adaptation by other organizations
  • Applications must specify a specific program or process and not the agency as a whole
