- Applications
are open only to
current member organizations
of the Center for Nonprofit Management operating in the state of Texas.
- Winners of an Awards of Excellence in the past three years
(2008, 2009 and 2010) are not eligible to apply.

The application process for the 2011 Awards of Excellence is NOW
CLSOED. All applicants will receive notification of results by
mail in October.

Excellence in Social Innovation & Excellence in Communications
Recognizing nonprofit organizations that exemplify excellence
in nonprofit management.
- Excellence
in Nonprofit Leadership
Recognizing a nonprofit Executive Director/CEO who exemplifies extraordinary leadership.

Excellence in Board Leadership
Recognizing a Board Member who has made a significant contribution to the community and long-term impact on the organization.

Corporate Social Responsibility Executive
of the Year
Recognizing a corporate social responsibility employee who exemplifies
extraordinary leadership in the advancement of its company’s corporate
citizenship and the nonprofit community as a whole.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
A program or project nominated for an award in one of the three organizational
categories must do the following:
- Further the mission of the organization
- Make a difference in the lives of people served by the agency
- Demonstrate significant breakthroughs in effectiveness and efficiency
- Produce specific, measurable and/or observable results that are likely
to continue over time
- Be capable of replication or adaptation by other organizations
- Applications must specify a specific program or process and not the
agency as a whole
