ELIGIBILITY:
- Applications
are open only to
current member organizations
of the Center for Nonprofit Management operating in the state of Texas.
- Winners of an Awards of Excellence in the past three years
(2006, 2007 and 2008) are not eligible to apply.
APPLICATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, August 5, 2009
Finalists will be announced in October and winners will be announced live at A Night of Light,
Thursday, November 12, 2009.

Recognizing a nonprofit Executive Director/CEO who exemplifies extraordinary leadership

Recognizing a Board Chairperson who has made a significant contribution to the community and long-term impact on the organization
Completed applications must be returned to the Center by August
5, 2009.
CRITERIA FOR SELECTION
A program or project nominated for an award in one of the three organizational
categories must do the following:
- Further the mission of the organization
- Make a difference in the lives of people served by the agency
- Demonstrate significant breakthroughs in effectiveness and efficiency
- Produce specific, measurable and/or observable results that are likely
to continue over time
- Be capable of replication or adaptation by other organizations
- Applications must specify a specific program or process and not the
agency as a whole
