| In Her Words... Mi Escuelita Preschool recently completed a board training presented by
CNM consultant Jan Allen. Below are Executive Director Gayle Nave's words about her experience: I would give Jan perfect scores because she was that good! The
board really enjoyed the training and were very engaged. I was a little
worried that three hours might be too long for them, but they were
extremely happy with the training. The most common comment I received
after Jan left was "Why didn't we do this before?" They were so
energized by the training that they stayed for another hour and a half
to discuss general business and some strategic, high level planning. I
think Jan helped us see areas where we could improve and also helped
the board see how strong Mi Escuelita really is. It certainly made me
feel better! I often wonder if we are doing things the right way and
the training helped me see that while we are far from perfect, we have
certainly come a long way! Jan was an incredible
presenter last night. I've been to many board trainings over my 14+
years with Mi Escuelita and last night's training was simply the best. Thank
you so much for providing this opportunity to us. I feel blessed to
have been able to provide the board with such valuable training. What
would we ever do without the Center for Nonprofit Management? Gayle | | |
